.NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME gTLD is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no particular regulations on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
